On the verge

Report Date: January 1, 2008

Its been a couple of weeks since my last report.Fishing has been on the verge of really getting started but needs a jump start. The cold front of 12/17 was not enough and produced 1 to 3 sails a trip but the warm weather returned and produced alull in this action. Therefore we resorted to different tactics and fished like it was spring trolling produced some nice gaffer dolphin and some kingfish were really obliging with fish up to 50 lbs.Afew good cobia made a showing both along the beach and on the wrecks. While wreck fishing we also noted a lot of big sharks were biting us off. So we gave that a try on 12/26 the nadeu family landed a 350 lb bull shark.Today a oteworthy catch was made,12 yr. old Aiden Murray Medley set up for the fight of his life and after about an hour he landed a 551 lb. bull shark. This fish as I understand is larger than the florida state record.Congradulations aiden. Tonight the winds are starting to blow and the first real cold front is hear. HOpe it works.I will let you know
